Art with Heart: Perls Pet Portraits

Rachel Perls is a formally trained artist with abundant natural talent. Though she does not attribute her style to any particular influence, she is inspired by the work of Vemeer, Picasso, and American pop artist Wayne Thiebaud.

Rachel holds a B.A. in Art Studio from the University of California at Davis, and attended the Academy of Arts College in San Francisco. She has been a member of the Graphic Artists Guild, and a past member of the Color Marketing Group, a national color forecasting organization. Recently, Rachel earned her association membership to the International Association of Color Consultants (IACC).

Rachel has lived on both U.S. coasts, but the wild shorelines of northern California are her true love. Currently, she lives in Baltimore, Maryland with her husband, Ben, a medical resident at Johns Hopkins, and their much-adored "attention hound" Lucy.
