Colored with Love: Perls Pet Portraits

Rachel Perls is a pet portrait artist who blends her affinity for animals, artistic talent and knack for color to capture in art not only a beloved pet's appearance, but its unique spirit.

What sets Perls' work apart is her passion for understanding and then rendering each pet's true nature in vibrant color. She learns about a pet's character traits through extensive dialogue with the pet owner, then translates that personality into rich, living color.

From this interactive process also emerges a clear picture of the relationship between pet and owner. Not only does the painting depict the animal, it reflects the owner's feelings toward the pet, and pays special tribute to that bond between companions.

"I enjoy creating lasting treasures for people who deeply love their animals and all their endearing traits, and who are looking for something a bit different," Perls says.
